St. Vitus Cemetery is located in Shenango Township just south of New Castle at 2699 Old Pittsburgh Rd. Shenango Township, located about 50 miles north of Pittsburgha, is a township in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. The phone number is 724-652-9932. The cemetery was established by Rev. Since 1970, the St. Vitus Cemetery in Shenango Township had been managed and cared for by the Lawrence County Catholic Cemetery Association. Starting in 2017, the St. Vitus Cemetery and other cemeteries in Lawrence County will be managed by the Catholic Parish Cemeteries Association of Pittsburgh. St. Vitus Parish was founded in 1900 by Italian immigrants on the south side of New Castle. Rome Monument designed a Catholic monument, pictured below, for Patsy R. and Wanda E. Cappatt of New Castle, Pennsylvania. Wanda Cappatt was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in New Castle. The Catholic headstone design features a cross and roses etched into the granite. The gray slant style upright monument on a granite base was installed in the St. Vitus Cemetery on November 25, 2016. The double companion style monument has the names of Patsy R. and Wanda E.
